Pastor’s Thoughts

Go First Anyway

Making Things Right, Paul Faulkner

The Bible is the inspired word of the one true and living God. I believe that in His infinite wisdom God gave us His church, in which we can love and serve each other.

“Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Galatians 6:10.

And in Galatians 5:13 He instructed, “Serve one another in love.”

How do we do that? Well, the ways are as many and as varied as there are Christians. And the full answer to that question would fill volumes. But Paul gives us some practical ideas in answer to the question in Romans 12.

vs. 5 – So in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.

vs. 10 – Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourself.

vs. 14 – Bless those who persecute you.

vs. 15 – Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.

vs. 16 – Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.

vs. 19, 20 – Do not take revenge, my friends … If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.

Wow, what a list! Look how often Paul emphasizes the importance of people in your life. They are important. They are an integral part of your life.

Thank you, Pastor Grant
